As the UK protests the Archbishop of Canterbury says there is a powerful sense around – fair or not – of a whole society paying for the errors and irresponsibility of bankers; of messages not getting through to government or banks; of impatience with a return to ‘business as usual’ as seen by still soaring bonuses and little visible change in banking practices.

Desmond Tutu, South Africa says if you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.
